As I'm Accelerating my oil pressure gauge goes from right under half to right below the next line. I've never seen that on any car before and was wondering if that is normal? It's a 2004 SVT.

I hear that some people that have the SVTF, that the oil pressure gauge it hooked
up to the ECU. So it could be something that the ecu is sensing, or not.

Most if not all don't pay attention to those two little gauges.

SVTF just means SVT Focus.

On a lot of cars, oil pressure gauges are more or less indicators, middle meaning you have oil pressure, and 0 meaning none. The SVT extrapolates the oil pressure data from other sensors, and the ECU drives the gauge.

The action of your oil pressure gauge is normal.
