Went to change the spark plugs the other day and discovered that the tips of all four were just covered in oil.

Negligible amount of oil in the wells, I think the valve cover gaskets are probably fine. (Although one boot had a dab of oil on the tip. Thought that was odd.)

Oil looks fine, no coolant getting in there.

What could be causing this?

Any help appreciated.

You really can't get unburned oil on the plugs except by it running down from the wells while pulling them (assuming a running engine).

Huh... Okay, I think it'd help if I uploaded some pictures of what I'm seeing over here. I'll do that this weekend.
