Just bought a 2003 focus, had it 2 months seems to be running ok, but starting to get oil leak from the front crankshaft seal. Does anyone know if it can be replaced with the engine in the car. Thanks guys
It can but you have to take the crank pulley, t-belt, and lower oil pans to get to it. It's a involved job. But yeah can be done in the car no problem.
No problem. I've had mine torn down before. Never replaced the seal, but was close enough. You can practically rebuild the engine almost in the car. Some have done it on here. Honed the cyl. and put new rod bearing and such.
