looking at these slips

-Wheel Size: 17X7.5
Offset: 45

-wrapped in 215/45/17 bfg g-force sport/a kuhmo maybe

-frpp shocks/springs.

i shouldn't have any rubbing or fitment issues right?

Yes it does matter.
A 7.5" wheel at 45 offset will sit closer to the strut as well as be closer to the fender due to the 1/2" wider cross section.

Here's a great offset calculator to compare the 2 different wheels.

That [email protected] will sit 2mm closer to the strut and extend another 10mm towards the outer fender.

IIRC, as long as you stick with a 215/45/17, you should be good to go.
Trying to stuff a 225/45 may see the tire hitting on the inside.
The saving grace, is on the wider wheel, the 215/45 will be a little shorter than on a 7" wheel, so outer fender clearance should be OK.

EDIT
On 2nd thought, I see you have a standard model.
The 215/40/17 will be a closer match to your stock diameter. (1/4" shorter)
215/45 is about 1/2" taller than your stockers.

Do a little searching in these forums, as I know there's members running 7.5" wheels.
