I'm going to be doing the SVT header swap on my 01 Zetec and was curious if I'll be ok with a 30k mile OEM SVT cat or should I plan on a RT cat or ORP from the get-go.

My only other mods will be a Volant CAI, MagnaFlow catback, and tune.

thanks guys

you will be fine with the svt cat. but remember you need the svt flex pipe.

get the one C-F-M sells its 2.5 inch IN which is bigger then the OEM one, and i think its cheaper too.
EVEN cheaper from Ebay or Truebends ($120) shipped. and their slotted to mix-match with other exhaust systems.

Also if you don't have emission testing, gut out the primary cat on the SVT Cat. Just find a huge bar/flat head screw driver, use the curb to support the cat, and clean it out.

OR

Buy a 2.5" flex for a normal zetec, add 5" of pipe and a SVT (3 bolt) flange. Then you'll have a complete 2.5" flex and ORP!!!!!

I was considering swapping the 30k oem cat I bought for an ORP as we have no emissions testing here in Indiana.
