o2 chips really work?

I just purchased a "stage 3 o2 sensor chip" from streetbeatcustoms.com (u can find it on there easily) do these acctually work? Or did I just waste my money?

10:1 says its just a resistor

20:1 says eventually it messes w/ ur engine negatively!!!

100:1 says u'll be severly dissapointed

100000000000000000000000000000000000000:1 you wasted ur money!!!
