Can NVH cause the knock sensors to think it's sensing knock?

I can't for the life of me figure out why when using FORScan to capture/view data it can show anywhere between 0-200 when reading Knock 1 & 2.

To give you some general information that might help.

Knock has a specific sound frequency that the knock sensor is "listening" for. This frequency can change slightly if different internals (i.e.: forged) are used.

NVH and other vibrations and knock sounds not cause by actual detonation/pre-ignition would have to match the knock frequency within a specific range in order for your knock sensor to register as knock.

To answer your question, I suppose it is possible, but highly unlikely. Knock has a very specific sound that can't be replicated very easily by other things and only a highly trained ear or a piece of technology can distinguish.
