ok when i first run the car and press the brakes, a squeeking noise comes out. after a few mins, it stops. what causes this? and what do i need to change? like whats my options out there. i would want the best for my car!
Mine has done this since day one. I've done my research and there is no problem w/ them, just normal for the foci for somereason. Might be the same way on other Ford cars & trucks being that they might use the same type of pads and rotors. I've had it for over a yr and almost every time I get in it from sitting a while it sqeals for a sec, but normally quits after you use them a bit. Also mine does it after you use them like Fabster said. I do have to say, this is the first Ford I have owned, and it's the first time i've ever experienced any problems w/ brakes. It's not that big of a deal and doesn't bother me at all, but just have noticed Ford brakes are quite different than any other manufacter.devotion2a said:ok when i first run the car and press the brakes, a squeeking noise comes out. after a few mins, it stops. what causes this? and what do i need to change? like whats my options out there. i would want the best for my car!
I find that quite odd. We have the same year/model car and my brakes have never squeaked.Fabster82 said:my brakes squeek as well but its pretty common with the focus. mine make noise when i just start to drive the car. it only does it for a while and then it stops after its warm. sometimes it happens when the car is already warm which i cant explain but its something im learning to live with.
