When my svt gets to 3000 rpm there's a spinning grinding type noise coming from the engine and it goes away around 3200-3500 rpm and it only occurs the moment you hit 3000. No matter if you are parked driving or whatever it can be heard at 3000 rpm every time and last until 3200-3500 and goes away. Anyone know what this might be?

Open up the hood & run the motor up to 3000 & see if you can pin point it. Kind of funny it goes away above 3000, thou.

didnt think about that, they are all three poly mounts. ill have to check that out, that actually sounds reasonable as to why only in a certain rpm

from under the car it sounds like its coming from the intake area? its definitely in the rear of the engine though. it is not engine mounts, and also underneath the sound is way worse it honestly sounds like the engine could fall apart. i will have a video up as soon as it clears photobucket

Harmonic means that the mount can fail to damp vibration that can then rattle parts all over the cars, back of engine is a very common place to seem to come from. If that, engine mount still often fixes it.

Could be something rattling at intake too.

Most likely it's a exhaust shield rattling from breaking off it's mounts. It was a known issue back in the day and numerous SVT ended up at the dealer for a noise when all it was is the heat shield on the cats and exhaust rusting and breaking loose.

you have to click on the video and it takes you to photobucket, but its the circular saw almost sounding noise. its actually around 3500 to 3800 rpm, i dont think it is mount related at all, it sounds internal

It does t really sound like a rattle and it's the exact same rpm every time it's consistent. It's almost as if it has to do with vct or imrc activating but it only last for a a few hundred rpm then it's gone and returns as roms drop back down through that little window where it occurs. I'm like 100% it's not heat shields or mounts or anything.

I'm not that familiar with IMRC action but for sure VCT activates all over the place rpm wise, it does not come on at any one point, ergo, not that.

itz loudest under the car, it comes from the back around the intake manifold but from above the car its not that loud. underneath it looking at the intake manifold it sounds like its gonna blow up

Mine has the same rattle but only when the gas is gently pressed down. Once I press down a little harder the noise fades... Mechanic couldn't explain it... :p
