Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section.

So I was hearing a "wooping" noise from the front passenger wheel. "Woop" is the best way i can explain it. It would happen when driving, mostly when i let off the gas. Checked the brakes, they are not sticking. Checked the rotor, it is straight as an arrow. So I ended up replacing the Front wheel bearing. The noise stopped for about half a day, and then came back. Now one thing i noticed was after I had the shop press my bearing, the hub still had just a little bit of play in it. Before I go another step and replace the axle, I figured I'd ask here to see if its supposed to have any play in it. On a lot of other hub assembly's I have seen, some had play and some were solid. I believed it was fine because once you put the end nuts on the axle, it had zero play. Any ideas on what it would be? Please help if you may know. It just boggles my mind that the noise would have come back. We made sure the end nuts on the axle were tight as well.

Welcome!

Bearings aren't loaded properly until axle is tightened, what torque was used?
