i have a 2007 ford focus that had the fuel pump replaced 6 months ago due to no starts. i recently have been having having the same symptoms but maybe be unrelated .car cranks over well with brand new battery and alternator.i can only get ignition when the car is pluged in or the temp is above zero degrees celcius .it starts fine when warm ?. Calling my local dealer this week to find a possible cure.i think its temp sensor related

Temp sensor isn't a bad guess (more than one possibly involved).

Short of having a scan tool avail. to check them, you can check the main engine temp. sensor by putting the odometer in test mode (hold key while starting until test shows, then scroll through functions).

Should show close to outside temp. when first starting.

OP PM'D that it needed the fuel pump driver module in the end for intermittent operation.
