ok, im a newb with electronics. simple question....how to splice a wire, or splice two together? just want an easy answer, i'm sure its simple to answer =) ill rep ya

EDIT**: pics wuld be nice please =D theyd b very very helpful and much appreciated.

The way I do it is I take a razor blade and cut the insulation to expose the wire. Prob not the best way to do it but that's how I do it and it works.

use a razor or a wire stripper (get it at autozone or something) to strip the insulation off the end of the wire. the insulation is covering the copper wire underneath.

then there are a few ways to 'splice' them.

ghetto style- take the two wires, braid them together tightly, and cover with electrical tape.

next step up- buy a crimping kit. if you get a crimping kit, it will come with a wire stripper. pick the appropriate 'tube', stick the bare wire into each end and use the crimper to 'clamp' it down

best connection- solder them together then heatshrink.
