What tires would you guys recommend as replacement tires for the 2007 ST? My dad has one and he has the stock wheels and he asked if I would post this. He hates the Pirellis, they make noise and they piss him off. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!!! (and gals) [mecry] <----- my dad

It is his daily driver, and he doesnt do anything special, but he wants something sporty because even though he is 50+, he likes to get on the wheels and go sometimes... he was looking at a Michelin Exalto tire, and was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions...

More info still needed...Does he need and all season tire? Is it going to be used in the snow? Since he's considering the Michelins (which are a very good but expensive tire) is he willing to go with a cheaper tire (we won't hurt his ego or anything will we?[hihi] ). And lastly how much is he willing to compromise on ride quality or mileage (tread life) to get that "sporty" ride. Speaking of tread life....does he have any minimum expectations?

Well thanks. You wont hurt his ego or anything... he wants a good tread life tire, all season, and it will be used minimally in the snow... we have a truck he can take to work for snowy days... money is and isnt an issue... he's a cheap guy, but when it comes to his baby, he'll spend the money... he doesnt want to comprimise ride quality, that seems to be his main concern... he keeps bitchin about the crap Pirellis that came on the car...

For all season tires I like and have used Falken 912's, Kumho ASX and Kumho AST. I'm very impressed with the 912's from a price and performance standpoint. The Michelin's are certainly nice and if he's willing to fork out the doe I'm sure they'll be a good all around tire for him, although that kind of money causes me heartburn.

When I had my stocker ST wheels I put Firestone Firehawk GT tires on and really liked them. Great dry traction and handling as well in wet. Snow left a bit to be desired but could still get you home safely.

Stay away from the Bridgestone G009... I had those put on and taken off the next day. They were like driving on water balloons.
