So I think I've decided to not to a huge sound system in this car and just replace the speakers (already have touch screen kenwood) and I work at an audio shop but I've never dropped speakers right into a ford before, I know, shocker! I had 6.5s in my last car so my question is will these 6x8s drop right into my 05 zx4 door no modification necessary? That's what I'm shooting for, if not I'm sure the 5x7s will right? I just want the bigger speaker.

I ask because I want to know if any of you have done it and metra online says it will and they are usually right but you never know, worth the risk you think?

5X7 or 6x8 will fit. You will have to pay attention the mounting depth in the doors.

I used diamond audio component 5x7s they're loud and clean.
