I was driving with my azenis on everyday, and I needed to save them for the few track days left in the summer. Lucky, I was given Ford Contour wheels, 6.5" and 47,5mm offset to ride around town. [thumb] [headbang]

1. I cleaned the wheels with Simple Green Max.

2. What I bought!

3. Ready to paint!

4. drying time...

5. Installed the new shoes today

how long do you think your rims will stand up to normal driving conditions....maybe have to repaint them every few yearrs or so? I want to paint mine but i dont want them to last for a few months and then be all chipped...

that paint is made exclusively for wheels (9$ per can). It's more resistant to chip and brake dust than normal paint. I used the same cans as I showed in the topic to paint my friends wheels 2 years ago, and they still look brand new. So I'd say go ahead don't be scared of using it!

ebay! It's a cheap one, but is heavier than OEM, gives better throw when I shift. I used it on the track and it when fine. But you pay for what you get, it's 8 $ so I don't think it will last 10 years, probably just a few.

Looks good, i used 96 cent paint. Had no chipping that wasnt caused by me taking them off for whatever reason lol.

I like the shift knob too. I'm jealous that you've got a 5 speed spi.
Even though mine will be one of these days, you still don't have to go
through the trouble of a transmission swap.
