After putting some LEDS with my headlights I also ordered some 2 1/2" LED strips from Oznium and they were perfect for what I wanted to do since the focus has not rear dome light.

And since I had one left over I decided to redo my hatch light since my speaker box is covering my stock one. I circled it in green for the picture. I have purposely left it loose to I can adjust it in case I need a rear light to work with.

I will take some pics later with some night shots so I can see how bright they are inside the car.

I have some custom switches inside of my center console. I thought about making a switch in the back seat of the car so a passenger could flip it but I decided to put in in there with my other 2 switches for my vent LEDs and my amps kill switch.

Way cool, I just installed the exact same light (in blue) in my 08' sedan. I put mine in the stock dome light though. I cut that piece of the dome light case so the back of the light is inside and the face is flush with the casing.

Adds a lot of light (same on drivers side). I can see again!!

And now I know what I'm going to do with 2 of the 4 that I just ordered yesterday. What a great idea for the back seat!! Did you install them into the headliner or stick them on the outside.

I also put in four 4" blue cold cathodes. One under the front and rear of both front seats. The have the sound controller and flash with the music. The 4" units are not much brighter (positioned where they are) than the stock ambient lighting so no big deal driving with them on.

Now, I also have four 12" blue CCs coming, we'll have to see just how bright those are!!

I mounted them from behind the headliner trim (hard plastic piece) that goes around the door. I drilled a hole for each LED and pushed them thru the holes. After looking at the dimples for each LED I knew I had to do it. It just worked out so well.

That's assume! Nice clean install, hope you don't mind if I steal your idea.

I don't have the plastic around the headliner. But, I believe there is enough of a gap at the correct location so that I can cut them in like I did with my dome light. Hell, put one of those on each side of the back seat, along with the one in the dome light and the car is going look like a nuclear reactor when I open a door.

Yeah, I opted to just go with one on the driver side. I knew from how much light they put out under my head lights that I would only need one.
On a side note. My Father used to live in UP. He lives in Tacoma now. I used to live there myself a long time ago.

Small world !! You know I'm here if anything comes up and your dad needs something fast.

Speaking of headlights, here's what I did with mine.

There are four LEDs inside each, two under each cross piece. They point back into the headlight at the reflector. The chrome trim is also painted with low gloss black.

The grille mesh is now gone and I painted the plastic grille pieces with the same low gloss black I used on the headlights.

So, I'll quit hijacking your thread now!! It'll be a couple weeks before I get those rear interior lights installed, leaving for a short vacation tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes and some post some pics (unless I screw it up).

That's a neat idea. I love Oznium for all there stuff. I got some of their led's as turn lights in my mirrors & was thinking of getting the little clusters for inside, but I like your set up far better.

No, I already had the 2.5" Nippled LED's from when I bought the 9" strips for the headlights. There was no point in buying others. This way I was able to flush them into the door trim.

Well, I finally figured out that I'm not using the "exact same" lights. I got mine from Xoxide.com which is a computer supply site. Look under their computer lighting section and you'll find some of the same lights as Oznium.com.

Xoxide offers cold cathodes in 4", 12" and 15", where I only see 4" and 12" at Oznium. And better yet, Xoxide prices are lower.

Xoxide has some "liquid neon" lights you guys might like too.

Anyway, the light I put in my dome light is called a Jumbo Lazer. The LEDs are super brights, installed in a case, and each LED is at a different angle to spread out the light.
