I have a 2008 SE sedan that the factory seat covers have seen better days. The original owner had kids that were a little messy. I got a set of "new" OEM seat cover takeoffs that I will be installing. My question is concerning the front buckets with side air bags. When I go to remove the front seats is it as simple as unplugging the seat or do you need to disconnect the battery for a while then unplug the seat harness? I know they recommend disconnecting the battery when messing with the steering wheel but was not sure about all the other locations. Thanks.

Yes, always disconnect the battery to discharge the airbags no matter where they are in the car. The car will also throw an airbag fault code if they are disconnected and the car is on, so it's better to be safe and cut the power.
