New member thought I would say hi. Came to own a 2003 focus zx3 hatchback 56k on ticker. The car was my fathers car who passed in 2011. I have been fighting with 2 dmvs in different states off and on since then to get the car retitled to me since we could not find his title after he passed. Anyway looks like it’s getting taken care of now. It was driven off and on since then but has sat for about 2 years until last night. Me and a friend changed alt. And a shift sylinoid in trans last night and she was driving great. I have a few maintence thing to do this weekend but car seems to be solid. I’m joining up here cause these forums seem to be a wealth of knowledge for repairs. I’m not much in the hotroding of little cars like this just want to make it reliable family use car for wife or daughters if they need it. I’m coming from a different type of car all together. My daily driver is a 2000 5.9 Cummins. I was laughing earlier I could put the focus in the bed of my truck, lol. I do have to say seeing $20 in fuel get me over a 1/2 tank made me extatic, as opposed to the $140 for a tank of diesel here. Anyway I plan on doing plugs, oil, air filters this weekend. Any other things y’all can think of I may wanna look at on this little car I would appreciate the advise

I’ll add that to the list. My dad was big into gas mileage when he got older. My Cummins is pretty stock. It’s got the normal 2nd gen 24 valve stuff. A raptor LP to try to save the IP. Which didn’t work only got me a another year before I had to replace it, lol. Cold air intake and a few standard gauges like fuel pressure. Nothing crazy. It’s Ca. We can’t get a tuner or go crazy. People do but then have to pull it all off before smog. It’s fine though. Just wanted a reliable truck that will last a few 100k. Got it for smoking price, $10k with 86k on it. Couldn’t walk away. Gets good gas mileage for a 3/4 ton. Good for longer hunting trips down in Mexico. I will say one thing buying parts for focus (atleast now) is easy compared to the Cummins. Everything on a diesel cost atleast $100 lol
I know it’s a focus forum but any interest left me know I’ll get pics off the Cummins.

Also on interior the radio knob is bad. If anyone knows a good place to get a replacement that would be great. Have to get a antenna also but I’m sure I can get those anywhere.
