How can I change my lights to the really bright white lights like on Mercedes cars? Can I do that?

1. Buy some SVT HID housings (expensive)

2. Buy a HID conversion kit (not as, but still expensive)

3. Install some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs (not as bright as HID's, but they are a cheap alternative nonetheless)

putting HID bulbs in a housing made for halogen bulbs is illegal in all 50 states. The housing is not designed for this and the light will be blinding for oncoming drivers. I've heard of others who did the conversion, then had their friend/significant other/whatever, drive towards them with the lights on and subsequently the lights were removed shortly thereafter because it is so bright. I know cops in my area who enforce this, you could do it and never be ticketed for it, but I'd rather not blind oncoming drivers.

I'm looking into investing in some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, however I hear the filament does not last long.

They will be fine when aimed properly, I know this for sure on 05+ but not sure about the earlier model headlight housings.

Both my brother and I have them, and they are not blinding at all.
