Hi guys! Long time lurker fist time poster. Here is my 2002 Focus SE Wagon (manual trans) that I picked up in June. Before this I had an Escort ZX2 (also manual) and after I totaled it I decided I wanted a manual wagon. After searching every option in my price range (Legacys, Protege5's, ect.) I decided on the Focus. I was familiar with the ZTEC engine from the ZX2 and being a sales consultant at a Ford dealership I thought I should drive a Ford.
On a day off I went up to Michigan to look at a 2005 ZXW that turned out to be a rust bucket. I gave up on it. On my way back I found this 2002 with 93,000 miles in Columbus. I got the dealer to accept my offer and I was a proud Focus owner. Here she is the day I picked her up:

I was really astonished of the clean condition the car was in, inside and out.

In direct sunlight on one of her first nights on the town.

I plastidipped the original wheels the first minute I got to.

Next, I plastidipped the rockers.

A Europlate seemed to be a fitting adornment.

A night out with the dipped rockers & wheels.

This is after I added a bike rack and gave it a full detail.

Then the next natural thing to do was to plastidip the lower bumper trim.

Next to a brand new FoST that a customer ordered at work.

Unfortunately, I had the tread on my tire separate on the highway and it destroyed the splash guard, side marker wiring, cracked the back of my headlight housing, and bent the fender.

New splash guard ($9 on rockauto.com) installed.

With a near twin at work (IT WAS AN AUTO)

Most recently I've added some dark housing headlights.

The only chrome left on the car was in the headlights, now its a full monochromatic experience. I love my Focus. I get about 27 MPG average and can haul most anything I need to. Thanks for welcoming me into your community!

Welcome! I love wagons!! Though they're not sporty, they are very versatile and great DDs. Curious to see what you do with it. And I like the dip on the rocker panel. Might steal that idea from you. [8D]

Thank you! I would call this thing almost done as far as a build goes. It is my DD and I'm picking up a project car next month so nothing too intensive planned. I would like to swap a EDM front bumper and grill, add rally lights, and a front strut brace but all of that is for the long term. This is my DD and I love it just the way it is.

Feel free to steal my idea, friend! It's certainly easier to mask off than doing the bumper trim as well and can help prevent rust.
