hey guys/girls i have a question for you..
my stock radio has the factory sub and i want to keep it however i want to change the head unit.. will this afffect the funtion of the sub.. with the stock system when i adjust the bass it only does the sub not the door speakers.. if i change the head unit will the same thing happen or will it screw everything up.. please help asap and please dont try sending me to another page

If you change your head unit, then it will render your sub useless. I believe their is a wiring diagram though that will get your stock sub to work with an aftermarket radio.

Somebody will probably post it up for you in a bit ... because I can't find it at the moment.

It will work fine, it just takes a bit of know-how, and knowing which wire is which.

What you should worry about is the function of your steering wheel controls. Many cheaper headunits do not have this function.

Why do you want to change out the head unit? What are your ultimate goals?

it is possible to hook up the factory sub to an aftermarket headunit. need one that has a sub output and i would suggest not a base model as you will want something that has sub controls on it. just need to hook up to the turn on wire and signal wires and connect it to the sub preout on the headunit.
