so after dealing with the stocks long enough, and scrounging for the money (and yes i supported my local sound shop like i should), I slapped in a new set of Rockford Fosgate Punch 6x8's into the front... Fit was perfect and thanks to the forum here for the info on how to take the door panel off.. I am honestly amazed at how simple it was to do this.. took my time and it looks just like it did..

Short review is that they sound amazing and once again Rockford does not disappoint.. In the future I plan on putting these in the rear and getting a nice set of components for the front... would be nice to add a single 10" in the back, but it will all come in time.. pics below from some of the install...

they are definitely worth the money i paid.. its been a while since i had good speakers.. when i was driving around to test them, I had a huge smile across my face.. definitely worth it..

rockford has always made good speakers. i have 2 sets of the t1 6x8s and they sound great.with a t1500bdcp (birth sheet says [email protected] rms [email protected] rms) running a t2 12. buddy of mine just got a set of the t3 6 1/2 componet and a t2500bdcp amp(birth sheet says [email protected] rms). working on getting his other set of t3s and a 1000ad amp for mid range. he alreeady has 2 t2 12s. all in a lil escort, loud as hell.
