I got a pair of Alpine SPR 5x7 speakers for xmas, and was wondering how hard it is to put them in. I noticed that the door panel has to be removed, and wonder how to do it correctly. Some help would be great[:D]

for the door panel removing check out part of what it says at www.a1electric.com/focus.pdf and then http://www.myfordfocus.com/how-to/doortrim.htm

for installing them you may need to make an adapter plate since the stock speakers are 6x8 and also to fix any clearance problems you COULD have. this can be done with a jigsaw and MDF wood or some other dense would that doesn't resonate easily because it could rattle or vibraate and make noise that your brain will percieve as distortion. if you don't have any MDF wood then use whatever wood you have and seal the edges where the wood and metal meet from the door so no vibration occures, some sort of rubber or rubbery, thick, dense substance. other than that it's not too hard. good luck.
