Piece of advice...don't purchase a high-dollar open-box item like this without inspecting it first. There are sooooooo many things that could be wrong with it that aren't visible in three lousy pics.

not and 08. Look at the TB. Mazda and the 08 2.3 have electric TBs not wired.

its a 2.3L....

look at the picture that is facing the clutch assembly... then look directly to the left of the green cap on the TB... see the switch blade/bracket for the butterfly... what everyone is thinking is the servo for the TB is the IACV...

and you can see the vaccumm valves mounted on top of the intake manifold in the first picture looking at the motor from the intake manifold side...

if i were to pursue this motor... i would want a picture of the side of the head where its stamped from the factory that reads "2.3L"

but from what i see, it may be a legitimate 2.3L left over from ford that someone found, sinse ford isnt using the 2.3 anymore...

Yeah its definately got the 2.3's intake manifold. Looks legit to me.
