hey guys today my alternator went bad after i replaced my cable that opens up my hood and ran some amp and sub wires through the car. my question is really just where can i get an alternator for pretty cheap and is there a how to so i can replace it by myself or should i just take it to a shop. i just ordered some music for my car so i only have about $300 at most so i need to know where i can get the part for cheap. i checked junk yard already they dont have the alternator

look around for an alternator rebuild shop, had mine done on my taurus, cost 59 dollars to rebuild. It would have been 220 in an auto parts store. 5 years later its still going strong
