OK, I've done a lot of searching but cant find what I'm looking for. I've done the fog light mod to keep my fogs on all the time but now......

I want to disable the front amber DRL and make it so they only turn on when I use them as turn signals. 05+ focus owners will know what I'm talking about.

Can anyone help me out with a link or something?

i know what your asking, but i only know it for the 00-04 years.

It will invole you cutting a wire heading to the headlight plug. which? im not sure

There are three wires in the plug.
The black wire is the ground.
The middle wire is the one you want to cut.
The other wire is for the turn signals.

I'd give you the other wire colors, but its dark and hard to see.

I went to check the colors for you.
Both wires on my drivers side light are blue and orange.
Not really sure whats up with that, but the middle wire is what I spliced my halos into, and they don't blink.

alright. I am installing the halos in a month.(which is why i asked)

i don't want the amber bulbs interfering with the halo sex that is going to be lighting up.

Since your driving a zetec, thenorm seems to know how to on those.

Could be a fuse or something but cutting the wire is just as easy for me.

Dont cut any wires. there is no need. Look at the light bulb. You will see 4 prongs that go into the socket. If you break the one off that provides power to the primary filament it will not light up and no wires will need to be cut.

Just letting everyone know that darkfire's instructions were spot on for disabling the duratec amber DRL.

When you get those projectors, just wire the new harness into the wire you just cut.
