i need help please, have a 2001 focus , and the problem is , when i used remote starter everything seems fine, but turn the keys to position on , pres brake to engage D or R , dash and tail lights come off....... F[][][][][][]!!! only day light!!!!, same thing if i just tried to put light on with the light switch ( car started or not) i already check fuses and no one was blow...anyone have a idea??

Pull back the rubber boot that covers the wiring harness between the body and the rear hatch.

Examine the wires inside for any damage.

have found the problem--- the light switch are faulty!! gonna fix it tomorrow
