New Exhaust Came

Well my MBRP exhaust came today. Didn't get it installed tonight, hopefully tomorrow. Only question I have is how do people install an exhaust with only ramps? I bought a set of ramps from Autozone and I still don't have enough room to work underneath my car.
Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics.

I love my MBRP. They don't list a 2.5 inch for the sedan, but you could call them to double check. They've got really good customer service.

Mine's an automatic too, and I don't notice the drone much. At highway speeds it's not loud enough inside to be a problem with the radio on.

Can't answer your question about the MBRP but I can tell you about the Trubendz. I really like mine and I have helped install one on an automatic. Cjohn will probably jump in here but let me tell you first it sounded great on his AT.

You have done your homework, yes you run in to two issues during the install of the Trubendz system. One very minor and one that is a little tougher but not a huge deal. There are a least two threads on FF that I know of that detail the install of the Trubendz and those issues and how to get around them.

I have the Trubendz SS with high-flow cat and straight through muffler. Great quality, great sound, and I'd vote for it.

Ha, am I that predicatable, Brad? [:D]

Brad's right. The Magnaflow from Trubenz sounds great on mine. I have an ATX, as well. The fitment issues were easily dealt with, so don't let that discourage you. The customer service from TB is awesome, IMO. I received my exhaust 8 days after emailing the order form. The only knowledge I have with MBRP is when I helped Gonefhsn install his on his ST, but he only had the 2.25in. I'm running the same setup as Brad with the 2.5in SS with Hi-Flow cat. Whichever one you go with, I'm willing to bet that you will be satisfied. I hope this helps.

no big difference between 2.25 and 2.5 just if you plan on doing more than exhaust, intake, and a tune then definatly go 2.5 so your air isnt restricted.
Mbrp is great with customers. amazing customer service they will help you with anything and answer any question you have.
Trubendz good systems from what i hear one prob
(good system once you get it installed )
theres a whole thread on unhappy trubendz buyers. just cant find it right now

Well I cant tell you much about the Magnaflow, Just that it sounds good on Cjohn364's car. Yes he did help me with my MBRP and the install from his words id that it is much easier to do. The one thing I don't like about his is that it hangs down a liitle far for my taste but he has not rubbed it on anything to my knowledge. But yeah what ever you decide to get you will be happy. ANd the drone if you want to call it that you will get used to it..if not turn up the radio. I personnally don't have one but I am driving an ST.

Thanks for the suggestions. Right now I'm leaning towards the MBRP. From what people have said it a good quality exhaust for a good price. A 2.25" exhaust will work fine because I'm only planning on maybe doing a CAI and tune later on.

Yeah, I don't know yet. I do like the tone of the Trubendz. Some videos of MBRP sound kind of raspy, in my opinion. But then some of the MBRP videos don't. Does a 2.5" sound deeper than a 2.25" or is there not really a difference?
Actually I have another question. Does Trubendz send all the gaskets and bolts needed for installation?

^^yes they come w/ everything need for the install! as far as 2.25-2.5 tone goes... w/ a header the 2.25 sounds really raspy from what ive heard and the 2.5 is deeper!IMO if u plan to do a header, cams, tune... get the 2.5"! if u plan to stay w/ the factory exhaust manifold, get a 2.25!

ever think of getting a custom one made? i got the same muffler as the tru-bendz kit(stainless steel magnaflow), and then had 2.5 inch stainless steel pipes custom bent. it cost me 230 to have the pipes made and muffler welded in. just giving you another option.

Trubendz FTW, the only fitment issue is with one of the hangers where you can just cut 1/4 inch off and its perfect i just installed it this weekend its sound is unbeatable!!

and if your close enough i could even help install... im near Novi.... i have no clue where in michigan your at...

with a 2.5 you may lose some torque without any major mods id say go with 2.25 if u only plan on doing cai and tune now if you wanna go headers , cams go 2.5 becuase the exhaust will be extremly loud with the header and will sound raspy due to restricted air flow. sound difference is not major between 2.25 and 2.5 its a very small difference lol
