Replace the stock 18"upgrade wheels with these. I'll be ready to sell the stockers in a few weeks if anyone would be interested just PM me.

They definitely look nice, but who makes them? Careful of cheap wheels....

They're made by Platinum. Their Apex 200 line. They're about the same as most of the other aftermarkets except for the real high-end.

are they lighter then stock?

reason i ask is at first i bought some nice wheels that were really heavy. now im on some really light wheels. and once going to the light wheels ill never buy heavy ones again.

better acceleration (took 0.4 off my 1/4 mile time)
better mpg (3mpg in my case)
better handling (nothing quantifiable, just feels like it handles better to me)

went from 18" falken torque 5's to 16" rota slips (like a 30lb wheel to a 14ish lb wheel)

out of curiousity how much are you looking to sell your 18s for?
Not sure yet. It'll be a few weeks as the new wheels are currently being manufactured. They don't currently have the 5x108mm bolt pattern in stock for these. The dealer estimates 6-8 weeks.

The remanufactured OEM wheels currently sell for $300 each on Ebay (incl shipping) but minus the lugs and center cap, so I'll come in probably $50 each cheaper than that. They are like $450 each from Ford. Mine include everything, and with less than 800 miles on them they are pristine.

That's certainly a concern, but not a huge one.

I'm not sure what the stockers weigh, but the new rims show that their shipping weight is ~ 30 lbs each. I'm remounting the 18" Michelins, so I would be happy just maintaining close to the stock weights.

Yup, I was looking at those wheels only with black spokes and the polished rim.

Those wheels + lowered + tint + CAI and exhaust = done.

Nice, they'll definitely look sweet!

Just remember to make a new thread in the BST if you put the stockers up for sale, please.

They do produce this size and bolt pattern. These are the exact ones that you have on order. Looks like they are due in on 8/19.

I couldn't find a weight on the 18's, but 17's are pegged at 22.3lbs. I think the OEM 18's are a little over 20lbs? 20."something"? I'm trying to find something a little lighter myself, but these do look nice. Post up when you receive them. I'd like to see how they look on the car and hear how they feel.

Off topic: Did you ever get that spoiler on the car?

I would go for some borbet lv5's if I could find them for sale somewhere. Losing weight on your wheels makes much more of a difference than pretty much anywhere else.

Still waiting for it to arrive. It should be in next week. Then I have to have it painted, but I may do a "test fit" so I can shoot a few pics of it to post here.
