Love this car for its sportiness and economy, really is a great balance between the two
I get 24 in my focus, mostly around town and country roads. Though I do try to drive as fast as possible without getting into too much trouble. I love testing my car around corners, seeing how fast I can go. I have 4 bald tires yet somehow traction is never an issue unlike my 2017 camry.
I have a 14 se, k&n hot air intake, little airflow adjustments to get air to the intake box through the bumper, ngk plugs and some polishing of intake ports the best I can for now at least, and 91 octane since the 6th ever gas up. I get an average of 35 rompin it everywhere and around 60 on freeway, second pic is not a downhill reading, plus I cruise control it almost everywhere.
I have a ‘13 Titanium Hatch. In LA city traffic it will struggle to get 22-24mpg city because of so many red lights & stop signs, however on open roads it will easily get over 33-35mpg. MPGs drastically vary in this car based on the time of the day or night.
I voted 30-35 but usually I do get 25-30 MPG. Most of mine is city driving hence the lower numbers. A few years ago I drove from Michigan to Niagara Falls, ON and got around 45 MPG due to the flat-as-a-board topography of Ontario! Of course, I had to do a little math when I filled up due to the price of gas in Canada and liters instead of gallons. Sometimes I wished I lived further from work because I love seeing my MPG go up as I drive!
I usually had cars with high mpg, now I got myself a third car it is BMW e90 and it has 20mpg. Fuel price has hit 7$ for a gallon here but its low yearly mileage fun car so I am keeping it.
Focus sits still at 35mpg.
I'm interested to find out what percentage of members here have had problems with their Focus. It seems like all I read are stories of these vehicles breaking down and being really unreliable!
I think we all tend to focus on the negative rather than the positive, so I thought a poll might give...
I was sitting here today and thought it might be interesting to have a poll (simple one) for the member's of FocusFanatics to vote on to basically gather information as to see the ratio (percentage) of the member's on here and what they own, be it a ZX3, sedan, SVT, etc.
Please vote accordingly...
