I was trying to install my Alpine Type-R component set last night and kept having issues finding a good mounting spot. Once the window is down, it seems like there's no good places to mount the crossover.

I did a search, one person recc. velcro-ing the crossover to the foam block that sits horizontal outside the door, but I would think that would interfere with the door panel.

How did you guys do it?

Nice! I don't have DynaMat on the door, would it still be possible to mount it in that area?

yea, there is sheet metal behind the dynamat, just drill it in there, check your screw length though, wouldnt want to hit the window,lol

Are you using Alpine Type-R 6.5" Components? That's what I have and I didn't see any mounting tabs for the crossovers. Wouldn't mounting it inside the door be allot easier because you wouldn't have to run the wires all over the place? Inside the door, all you'd have to run out is the tweeter wire. Mounting it like you did, everything has to come out and then back in through the door.
