Don't waste your money with components in the rear. Usually a nice set of components up front are plenty, and you won't even need rear speakers. If you have a lot of people who sit in the backseat, then get a pair of good coaxials instead.

Re: audio
yes i do have a headunit, a Clarion Dxz..
yes $1500 for the whole system...but i garantee it'll be more..
i was thinkin
Front - 130 to 200
rears - 130 to 200
component speakers 200 -300

the money for my amp and my subs isnt included for the $1500.00 its seperate
Since you have this thread going, I'll answer your PM here.

As stated, you don't need all those speakers. More is Less, and Less is More. The fewer speakers you have, the fewer sources, the fewer soundwaves and reflections, the better the sound.

You will be driving 2 subs with a killer amp; Zapco Competition C2K9.0X

By the way, I just found another sub option for you to use with that amp, price is per sub:

Now for a great amp and front components:

If you want rear fill, or for the occasional rear passengers; then go with a decent set of coaxials and run them at a lower level off the HU. Don't worry about rear speakers for now. Set everything else up first, dial it in, then see if you still want rear fill later on.

Unfortunately the DRZ9255 is the only Clarion to offer any decent control for system flexibility.

I'd really like to go active with your front components on a 4ch amp, but I'm not sure if your HU will work with that. What exact model do you have? DXZ???

To stick with a 2ch amp on passive fronts, then get this DLS Ultimate A3 Twin Mono amp:

As for front passive components:
(comments are based on research and other users I know of and their feedback)

Zapco CK-16.2 (I heard the tweeters are best used for on-axis, so that may be too limiting.)

DLS Ultimate IR8.2 (warm strong midbass, good tweeter, ok midrange)
Used

New

Focal 165K2P (tweeter on the brighter side, good midrange and midbass)

Seas Lotus Reference
(best SQ, best tweeter of the bunch, and best midrange, tight midbass, but not strong)

Hybrid Audio Legatia 62 (contact to see if they are available yet, I know the 3" mid is)

Polk Audio SR6500

Tough choice, I think any one of those will be great. Any setup has to be dialed in, so your limitations may be your choice of HU and it's ability to tune. From what I hear, the best single unit for overall tuning is the Pioneer P880PRS with it's dual 16-band GEQ. The DRZ9255 offers the best SQ, 5-band PEQ, and 4-way control. And there are a few Alpine and Eclipse options with 3-way control, 5 or 7-band PEQ, and great SQ.

Then, for all out control, there's the Pioneer P9 combo or a few Alpine HUs with control and optical connection for the PXA-H701 processor with 4-way, multiple 31-band GEQs, etc.

The simple approach is obviously to start with what you have, and buy a 2ch amp and passive component set. The only reason I mentioned those HUs, is if you wanted to get a 4ch amp and go active with the front woofers and tweeters on their own amp channels.

So, back on track....

Clarion DXZ...
DLS A3 Twin Mono
Components?? (If I had my choice, it'd be Zapco mids and crossovers with Seas tweeters.) Good luck [:D]
