Maybe one day they'll get around to fixing the bug that cause my radio to change stations to FM after ending a phone call handled by SYNC. Never had an issue like this with my non-American cars. (read Honda and Toyota)
Yeah, when I disconnect Bluetooth it goes to FM when I had previously been listening to Sirius. At least mine goes to my last FM station that I was using. Before the last update, it would go to some random FM channel like 88.1 which was either static or religious music depending where I was at.

mine does that if it is unable to reconnect to BT stereo for any reason.

Taking my focus to the dealer for the 4th time in almost a month. Squeaks and rattles in multiple places (door, dash, right side of center console, etc)

Had the TSB done for the front suspension clunk only to have the new parts to start squeaking over bumps.

Hoping they can update my driver display screen to deal with the intermittent non start of it. (13-06-27).

Also having a trim piece replaced on the passenger side rear door under warranty from it coming off its glue.

Really love this car despite all the issues. Hoping they can get them all in order before my warranty expires. anyone else going through something similar?

Good luck with the squeaks and rattles, so far I have only managed to get one fixed by the dealer. One thing I will say in fairness to the dealer is that this car had some incredibly weird acoustics and noises seeming to come from one spot can often be from somewhere totally different. Still though, for all the fuss Ford made about their NVH engineers, this thing rattles way too much.

Thanks! I agree with the acoustics. Makes it very difficult to pin point them. They fixed one only to have another appear elsewhere sounding different. I have 4 total at the moment and have a good idea where they are coming from. Still though love the car to death. I just get the feeling that I'm a laughing stock at the dealer for showing up so much :/

I had a rattle that I was convinced was coming from the passenger's door... but then I had my roommate drive while I searched for it and it sounds like it's actually under the dash or in the glove box.

Yeah I feel you. And that is what make it's difficult to pin point. A few I found I was sure of on location, the last and most annoying one was the hardest to find. Sounds like from behind the stereo, in the glove box or under the dash. Can't pin point it. My brother and I have up and settled for behind the stereo.

Though the one I have coming from the door is indeed from the door. Only present when music is playing and prominent bass notes hit. Disappears without music or quiet music. But then again could be anywhere haha

I'm still under warranty and have not once had any update to firmware our anything besides bcm replaced on my car. Dealer keeps telling me its all peaches and cream that nothing is wrong. what the hell do i do then? I'm getting error codes on the test screen on the dash reading rf traction control something or another... Not to mention the service guy but writing up my broken fog light housing and just duct taping it back in...

Where did you learn about this Elwood?

Some 2012 Focus vehicles equipped with electric power assisted steering (EPAS) and built on or before 04/19/2011 may exhibit a lack of power steering assist on vehicle start up and may exhibit a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C102D. The customer will see Steering Assist Fault Service required message, the steering wheel icon, and a yellow dot in the instrument cluster, and hear the soft warning chime. Steering assist will remain for that key cycle. For the next key cycle at vehicle startup, the customer will see Steering Loss Stop Safely message, the steering wheel icon, and a red dot in the instrument cluster, and hear the hard warning chime. Steering assist will be removed for that key cycle and all future key cycles.

ACTION:
Reprogram the power steering control module (PSCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 72.04 and higher or 73.01 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2011.5 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.

NOTE: DIFFERENT MODULES MAY GENERATE DTC'S DURING REPROGRAMMING OF THE PSCM. FOLLOW IDS INSTRUCTIONS TO CLEAR DTC'S FROM ALL MODULES.
My 2012 Focus lost power steering today and I'm looking at a $2540 for parts that are on back order. Can you tell me more about this? The dealership might try this if it comes from a solid source.

Saw a new TSB:
2.0L GDI - VARIOUS DRIVEABILITY CONCERNS OR ENGINE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP ILLUMINATED
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN

Reference Number(s): 14-0215, Date of Issue: November 18, 2014
FORD: 2012-2014 Focus

ISSUE
Some 2012-2014 Focus vehicles equipped with a 2.0L Gas Direct Injection (GDI) engine may exhibit a concern of a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated, engine runs rough, crank no-start, loss of power, or loss of engine RPM, with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0122, P0222, P0320, P0322, P0327, P0332, P0344, P0369, P06A7, P060D, P061C, P1336, P1674, P2111, P2112, P2127 and/or P2135.
Applies to vehicles built on or before 2/4/2014 with an automatic transmission or built on or before 2/19/2014 with a manual transmission.

It's basically post #151 of this thread: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5683330

It calls for repairing the circuit with additional wire if there's already chafing and then putting a protective shielding on the wire in that area. It also has the technician clean off the G103 connection and re-torque it in case the vehicle has a loose ground. In the case of certain DTCs (P0320, P0322, P061C, and/or P1674), it calls to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

The only way my 2013 drives normally is if I drive it like a blind in one eye 130 year old man. Any demand for torque screws up the whole shifting algorithm. I believe The car wants maximum fuel efficiency and will do anything to accomplish it. I would gladly give up fuel economy for a car that drives better.

You don't have to give up fuel efficiency, the 2013 mazda-3 I had said 35.6 overall on the dashboard including highways always at 70+ if conditions allowed

Irrelevant post is irrelevant.
