I bought my Focus SE new in from the dealer in 2013. I've been very happy with it. I made a few mistakes when I bought it, like I should have got it with every option possible and with a manual transmission. I bought the car for use at work, I was a field tech and needed a vehicle to visit customers.

Honestly, it's been a great vehicle. Cheap to service, great on gas and fun to drive with nice predictable handling when you get a little stupid. I wanted to buy a new ST this year (2019) but Ford decided that wouldn't be...

As for the Automatic Transmission - I have not had any issues, although I expect to, based on the experience of others, but everything fails eventually. Does it behave different than other automatic's? Yes, but I've mostly driven manual shift vehicles all my life, so to me it just feels like someone is working the clutch with a heavy foot... Which, by the way, is my style anyway, so I kind of like that feature. Yes, it's a feature (haha).

I've had my 13 Titanium for 6 years and I still love it. The DCT caused me tons of problems getting warranty and recall work done on 4 different occasions at around 80,000k, its at 140,000 now and runs like a dream.
