Thread gives a pretty good idea of what's needed, though it doesn't show it totally complete it's running. Poster on the last page offered a parts list, that would depend on what year your donor trans was from (MkIII had different shift hookup on the trans).

Shade010 from RDC can prob. help as well if you're serious with the final electronics.

I did the swap in my '12 with a MTX-75 from the same model year. Im working with Tom from Focus-Power using an SCT tuner to take care of electronic end of the conversion.

I will post updates on my progress

Almost There

Hello Everyone---I have completed the mechanical portion of the swap in my 2012. I used a tranny out of a 2012 like 68futura. I have started to work on the electrical part and tried grounding the wire from the tcm to the pcm using the clutch switch but have no start even with the brake held down. It will crank but does not fire and is giving an engine malfunction warning on the dash. Nothing has been said about clearing codes for this to work. I have pm'ed 68futura about his electrics. Mechanical part is pretty straight forward. Not a lot of space under that dash! Hope I haven't killed it. Thanks for any replies in advance---John M.

Well my wife's 2014 Ford Focus auto trans is now having a harsh shifting noise when it downshifts and after reading about the problem I'm contemplating doing the swap to the manual MTX75. Definitely interested in this. Why cant the PCM just be swapped from a manual focus solve any of the electronic issues? If this can be done, dare I say I will also be putting my focus under "surgery" as the trans noise seems to be getting a worse the longer I wait.

We are in process of a DCT to MK3 Manual Conversion now, will be completing all electrical connection also. Will update during process

It'd be great if Ford sold a basic wiring kit, to help.
That won't happen, you don't want to know.... basically you need to swap engine harness, fuse box to car harness and dash harness do it easily.. So yeah they kinda have a kit...

Thats the least that Ford could do, as all the issues that ppl had & is having + the all negativity that Ford has for a great car.

We are working on trying to get HD clutch packs made for the DCT..

Ford does updates and replacements, that's all they are required to do.

Thats my weak side is dealing w/ wiring. I don't have the patience for that.

Be great if Ford could just swap out the dct for a mtx, yea IK not going to happen.

I was an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental systems specialist 7 yrs. and an Industrial Maintenance Electrician yrs ;)

Cranks & runs, with the manual setup.

Bigger deal than it sounds like with the interconnects to deal with.
Cleared the codes and only abs tc is on, need to bleed brakes and clutch. But you have to have pedal down to start or no start. I'll get a list of parts needed and let ya all know
