So this is going to sound ridiculous, but I was wondering how much of a pain it would be to swap the turbo 5 cylinder from the Mk2 RS into a Mk1 ZX4. I was thinking the best way to do it would be to import the front end of a Mk2 so I have the engine and trans and everything, then do a standalone ECU and try to wire the engine and trans into kind of it's own ecosystem. I'm building my own dash so everything doesn't have to be wired into the factory cluster.

This won't happen anytime soon, just thought eventually it could be a thing to finish it off once I get it painted and everything since I'll be too scared to drive it lol

If you just want the motor, find a wrecked c30 (maybe even s60r?) with the t5 that's already here in the states.

Of course it'll be a lot of work but should cost less than importing an ST/RS motor from europe/uk.
