Hello! Im hopin theres some petrol head out there that can help! My mk1 focus 1.6 zetec is over revving on its own and then cuts out wen slowing down or pullin off its also losing power on the straight. It definitely doesnt like hills right now and I have no idea why its doin this its got so dangerous I cant have my baby in the car with me and im to nervous to drive it. Its recently had new leads plugs battery n oil filter change. please help!!!

To me sounds like the idle air control valve. When it sticks open, the car over revs, if it sticks closed, the car will die at idle.

I hope so as thats an easy job! Would that explain loss of power aswell??
