When they did the reset for the MFT on my car, I later had to choose a zone while going through my options (from the settings on the steering wheel). I picked 1 figuring like DVD players, that should be the answer. I don't know if it's related - but I noticed my date on my MFT shows tomorrow's date. According to the manual, the date is pulled from the GPS so I can't change it on the screen. How can I specify which time zone I'm in so the calendar shows today's date?

Im not totally sure, but I think zone refers to magnetic zone you're located in so that the compass will work properly. It's all in the manual.

Yep, zone is the magnetic zone for your geographic location. In GA, that would be zone 9. I think zone 1 is above the arctic circle, lol. I don't think it would affect your date, though, since magnetic zones can traverse a large variance of time zones. But you never know, good luck.

Check your owner's manual. It has a map of the zones.
