Is it a resistive or capacitive touchscreen?
Yeah, it is resistive. I don't have mine yet but I have read several reviews that state that you definitely have to give it a really firm push to get a response.

Its a bit too restive for my taste. Iv had restive phones before tht took much less pressure to make them work. A designed in lighter touch would have been better

Nah it's fine. There's a reason why they made it with the amount of touch required that they did. It's meant so you can kind of hold a finger on the screen before pushing down. It's the only real way for most people to have any kind of aim when they're riding in a car. I don't have a problem, but I gave my mom a ride a few weeks ago (picked her up for lunch because I'm a great sun :D) and she couldn't hit a button until I told her she can kind of hold her finger on the screen if she doesn't push hard.

It probably didn't help that I was zigging and zagging around the metroparks (the park system around Cleveland)
