So I have the typical puddle of fluid under my clutch pedal, which I've learned on here means a bad master cylinder. I bought a new one and am in the process of installing it. However I have a question/ problem. The new master does not have the Plastic and rod attachment (inside the car) for the clutch pedal. Here is my question:

If I replace the master does it reseal the plastic piece on the inside and stop the leak or will I need to find where to get the plastic piece and rod?

I just did one last night. It should have came with the rod. You may need to get another one since that is the part of the cylinder that causes the leak.
