I have a question, so recently my mechanic from ford ( he is certified by ford and is a former mechanic from ford) had to rectify my heads due to a over heating my brother did to the car. So it went to the machine shop, installed new idle pulley for the timing belt, new timing belt, sparks, oil, etc.

My question is I need to change my intake vct because it turns off in low rpms, I was wondering what is exactly the Massive speed VCT delete system?

Any pros and cons in using it? I have a 02 SVTF stock

I've only read that the benefit of using the VCT delete was for simplicity reasons, usually motor swaps into a non svt focus, or the escort.

What I meant was that, it turns off during Idle.

I've read that the VCT is mostly got emissions and the IMRC is for performance, but I'm sure the VCT plays a decent roll in both emissions and performance.

Vct= varible cam timing. I wouldn't delete that, specaily on a DDer. That'd be like a Vtec running on one set of cam lobes.

There hasnt been any loss of power adding VCT Elim like a Vtec loosing the larger cam lobes , the issue is more cost to change it over

You have to buy
VCT Delete
2 adj cam gears
1 hr dyno time
xcal flasher/custom tune

Your at $700-800.00 to eliminate the VCT , if your gear and solenoid both go out it may be worth it , if your doing this just for a ECU code or other issue contact me and let me help you fix the issue
