Hi guys,

In the 2008 model (manual) is the oil gauge for the transmission the brake fluid container in the firewall?

They dont have a dipstick for a manual trans, never have. You fill it until it runs out of the fill hole, usually 2 qts. is the capacity

thanks. If we ever have a brake leak do we have to purge the entire system or just the brakes?

Uhhh, no. The container has nothing to do with the tranny. I presume you're looking at the fluid reservoir for the hydraulic clutch.

FWIW I have never owned a car with a manual tranny that had a dipstick for checking the tranny oil. Furthermore, I don't think such a feature exists on any modern car. [:)] The oil level is far less critical in a manual tranny than in an automatic.
