My wife's 2003 ZETEC is having some major vibration issues as well as some power surging. When the car starts up the lights will surge as well as the dash. Alternator is new, plugs and wires are new, mounts are new. Timing issue? Please help.

How many miles are on it? Has the passenger side motor mount ever been replaced?

All mounts are brand new. 148k miles.

I'd run the harness. Make sure you have good continuity at the plugs and grounds.

Mine is doing a light surging as well, only at idle when warm. Seems to be possibly affecting performance. Gonna try and clean the IAC first, then check plug wires and PCV.

I have been told the timing may be off so I am going to look at that whole setup in the next day or two.

It does sound a bit like jumped timing. Is it idling low?
