I recently installed a set of mach/SVT headlights, and it kept blowing the highbeam fuse.
Took it all apart and found the short was in the gizmo that is in front of the low beam and has a brown and a black wire from the high beams running to it with a small plug.
My buddy snapped off this plug trying to get it to come undone.
So I just sealed it off and left it disconnected since he broke off the plug end anyway.
Now the short is gone and high beams work, but not sure what the purpose was of the part that broke now, and was shorted anyway.
It looks like some sort of sensor on the other end pointing at the low beam.
Picture of broken plug side.
