Do you need to get a tune up OR tune the car after removing the lunch box? No one has said this on any forum.

Will the car drive and function properly without a tune after delete?

There are no sensors attached to the lunchbox, its sole purpose is to keep the car quieter. Removing it will only change the way your exhaust sounds, nothing else.

Thank you!

Another question I got these supplies for the job:

Angle grinder 4-1/2in
Exhaust tip w resonator in it (ricer I know)
Exhaust clamp 2in
Exhaust sealer
45 degree 2 in exhaust pipe

This can do the job well?

Well I did it and I am very impressed at the sound!

Angle grinders are very fast if you get the right size and a slim enough blade!

What took me the longest was not realizing to take the guard off so I can get into the tigh space then move it around a bit. If possible unhook your exhaust from the body.

The lunch box delete gives the Focus a real sporty sound with out being to loud. Some of the SES models did not have that ugly lunch box.

Honestly the damn thing is gone and I love it. Actually have a slight acceleration boost that's noticeable. I also will now (because I have more confidence) be moving my exhaust to the middle and adding a dual resonated tip and a nice glasspack muffler this weekend.

Should I build a how-to?
