Well, i am not really sure how to do it for the focus since i got an Escort. I did lowered mine though like 2.5 in front and back so it is stylin and profiling. Tips i got for you is that you should have somebody that knows how to do it and watch and help him out and what not.
I had a friend to do mine and i help him out and what not. I learn a lot and it helps build experience. As in tools , you need to go to a AUTOZONE and ask for a spring compressor so when you take the strut tower out and you can depress it and remove the parts and etc.

THIS IS EXTREMLELY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET THE SPRING BECOME DECOMPRESS or you will

be MISSING A HEAD!!!!!! ( Well, you wont have your head taken off but you will be in extremely miserable pain or knock-out and what not)

Just think about a spring thats is compress then it SPRINGS out of the tower and hits you on your body or head it will be very painful.

When i was doing it my friend took the tower out and forgot to decompress and it jump and brush on the top his head and that was painful enough but it doesnt help if your in pain then you punch the wall then you break your hand on the wall.

Well, good luck on it

Im pretty sure you need some type of tool to compress the spring and slide it into place. Any focus performance online site will have your springs..Dont buy cheap ebay ones..I hear they are no good.

I rented mine from Autozone..........give them a credit card, they will credit it when you bring the spring compressor back.

Eibach's legendary Pro-Kit improves performance and appearance. Lowers the front 1.4" & the rear 1.5", reducing fenderwell gap and improving handling.
It's best that you replace the shocks too to accommodate the stiff springs.

Would someone pick this sorry ass topic up and move it to its appropriate section?
I mean damn, how does a lowering spring topic even find its way in here? Oh yea, someone not paying attention posted it here.

hahahahah yeah if u want a nice smooth low ride get H and R springs. if ur car is brand new or not even a year old u dont need to change ur struts. but it is good to tho. dont get the pro kit springs they are not good for this car at all. if u go with eibachs get the sportline they will drop ur car 2.0 all the way around. and they are good smoth ride.

ok, with a spring compressor that you borrow from autozone, you have to tighten a threaded bolt, when u do this, the spring compresses and decompresses slowly, so there should be no way he can harm himself, oh yeah danozx3, i have the goldlines for sale email [email protected] with an offer....

one more thing ... there is a suspension section!!
