I filled up at a strange station off the freeway. 10 gallons.. almost a whole tank.
As soon as i was driving I was getting lower mpgs.
Across the board consistently lower mpgs. I was like WTF?
Well I used up enough to go get 4 gallons at my usual (known good) station and oddly I suddenly go right back to were i suually was at the mpgs I usually was getting.
So I do not know what was wrong with the gas.. water? too much ethanol? Anyway, the episode gave me the idea maybe some folks (a few, most likely of of the many) might find they get better mpgs with a different brand of gas.

If you get decent mpgs.. I would not go looking for different gas...
Not to start wars about brands, or octane, just some places use crummy gas.

Might be worth looking into... I feel like my 1st oil change and maintenance will help clean out some of the break-in gunk and net me a few more mpgs, otherwise a different station might be worth looking into... with about 80 miles a week highway and the rest city (with the majority being a 45-55 mph straight run with a few stoplights I normally hit green) I feel like I should be doing better than 28-29mpg for my tanks. fillups normally ~10.5 gallons
