This has been going on for awhile and as a college student with limited funds and not a lot of time I have not been able to figure this damn problem out. So at rev the engine produces this tick sounds kinda like lifter tick but it does not increase with revs like it should for lifter tick as well is not present at rev with no gas. So for example if I lightly push the gas in at 3500 it'll tick but if I am at 3500 with no gas there's no tick even with decelerations. Did a compression test with my buddy and its running like 90psi, 127psi, 87psi, 129psi. Not sure where to start in terms of this issue. Ive got a bunch of gaskets to replace that I need to tear a lot apart. Any pointers from more experienced people would help as someone who is trying to learn more and start racing I would rather take a crack at it myself than just take it to a shop.

Its a 2010 Ford Focus SES Coupe with the 2.0L Duratec DOHC
