Your clutch master cylinder is leaking. The brake and clutch system share the same fluid that's why the brake light is on, you've lost enough to trigger the warning light. This is a common problem on foci.
I bought the master from Ford for around 50 I believe. And the install is definitely a PITA, but a lift is not needed. You can get at it from the top if you take out a couple of components. The biggest pain is working underneath the dash!!! Good luck.
should still have a warranty on the car man. if you have any aftermarket bolt on parts that they might bitch about go ahead and put the stock junk back on and take it up there. some dealerships gripe about exhaust so it you have that you might be screwed. thats why you never buy a brand new car if you're planning on modifying it because for the most part the factory warranty goes by by when you do
the outside of my car looks pretty modded wheels steeda intake painted headlights and a few other things that might make them bitch but i have read the warenty manual and can defend myself if they come at me with that bs
Things they are also looking at are
My window crank broke off that is bs for such a new car
AC makes weird knocking noise when holding the brake down
Air Bag light is on
That black trim peice on the ouside of the door the metal one came off
^ Don't worry about that stuff. The problem has to be caused by your modifications in order to void the warranty. This is not the case with a bad master cylinder, or reservoir. You should take it in, that would be covered under standard warranty.
For TKE: I just had my master cylinder changed again for the second time. This one only lasted two and a half years. The original lasted 4 years. So is it a "good will" warranty, the same as the broken front coil springs? Cheers.
