I'm honestly extremely new to the car world since ive never had a car before my zx3 that i actually wanted to take beyond stock, and i regretfully never took the time to learn about cars on my own. What i do know however is that before i really change the body on my car i wanna work under my hood, i would like to start by getting a cold air intake for my car before the end of the year, i've been doing research but i would like to know if u guys had any recomendations on where i should go to get a great quality one? or should i even start with that?

Thanks

Do you have the Zetec or Duratec engine in your car? I'd recommend getting the AEM cold air intake. You can always pick up SVT springs on the cheap side and they do a nice drop over stock. Since you're going for appearance, one of the cheapest and overlooked mods is.... the clear corners. $10-15 on ebay, they look really nice on a yellow focus.

Eibach sportline springs are cool to start with. They give a nice drop. That's the first thing I did to my zx3. I couldn't stand that lifted stink-bug look. But if u wanna go with a bolt-on, the AEM cold-air intake is a good part to get.

Welcome to the forums! Its great here if you wanna do something to your car then this is the best place to hear, know and learn about it. Has for power mods here are some links that show pretty much what every bolt-on can do for you and also explains some of the little quirks with our motors such has the horrible cam timing that comes from the factory.

lol yes read on. thats half the battle. but yeah intake and exhaust are the first few upgrades most people do. suspension is highly recommended unless you want a fast focus that looks like a lifted truck lol

Its great to see your local gang helping out, but I really think you could get more info from a few other viewpoints if this was asked in a technical area, I'd encourage you to post there, or if you like I can move this post to another area for you.

Ironically, I'm a native of MA, I just moved out here in the last year. On top of that I didn't go to college nor am I fan of college sports. I am a New England Patriots fan though.
